The Importance of a Limited Ultrasound

We provide a free limited ultrasound (sonogram) after a pregnancy test is given to confirm pregnancy. This ultrasound is performed to assess that the pregnancy is viable and in the uterus. (It is important to rule out an ectopic pregnancy which is a pregnancy that is located outside of the uterus and is dangerous.) The limited ultrasound also is the best method to estimate the gestational age, in other words, how far along is your pregnancy.
